The first graduate laboratory safety skills competition of China University of Mining and Technology, "Huazhong Gas Cup," was successfully held on June 6th. Vice President Zhang Jixiong of China University of Mining and Technology, as well as heads of various colleges, equipment department heads, and leaders of Jiangsu Huazhong Gas Co., Ltd., attended the opening ceremony. A total of 365 students from various colleges participated in this competition.

The laboratory is an important place for talent cultivation and scientific research in universities. The safety of the laboratory is related to the smooth implementation of teaching and research activities, the safety of teachers and students, and the safety and stability of the campus. Graduate students are the main force of laboratories. Strengthening graduate laboratory safety education, cultivating safety attitudes and character, enhancing safety emergency skills, and enhancing safety prevention awareness are of great practical significance for effectively preventing and controlling laboratory safety accidents and ensuring campus safety and stability.
